Mesomorphic Endomorph
Code:MEn
Endomorphy dominant; mesomorphy greater than ectomorphy. Heavyweight with high relative fatness.
Description
The mesomorphic endomorph carries high fat over a robust skeleton. Endomorphy is the dominant component but mesomorphy is also high — the result is a large, heavy body that is also genuinely strong.
Female sumo wrestlers, female Eskimo populations in early anthropometric records, and many heavyweight strongmen and powerlifters fall here. The type tolerates and produces enormous absolute force.
Compared to the endomorphic mesomorph (its mirror across the line), mesomorphy is the secondary rather than dominant component — the body reads as 'powerful but fat' rather than 'fat but powerful.'
The training response is highly favourable to load because mesomorphy is high; conditioning takes longer because total mass is large. This is one of the most distinctive types — and one of the most underrepresented in mainstream fitness media despite being common in strength sports.
