Descripción

The mesomorph-ectomorph sits on the edge between two corners of the triangle. Mesomorphy and ectomorphy are roughly tied; endomorphy is clearly lower. The result is a tall, lean, well-built body with visible musculature but long limbs.

Basketball players (men and women) frequently land here, as do most male swimmers above six feet, distance hurdlers, and decathletes. The body has enough mass to generate power and enough length to cover ground.

Where the ectomorphic mesomorph still reads as 'thick athlete with long limbs,' the mesomorph-ectomorph reads more as 'lean athlete with athletic shoulders.' The distinction is one rating point on the triangle but a clear visual difference.

Hybrid types like this one are useful in coaching because they signal an athlete who can plausibly shift toward either neighbouring corner with a few years of focused training, whichever the event rewards.
