Mésomorphe-Endomorphe
Code:M-En
Endomorphie et mésomorphie égales ; ectomorphie plus faible. Gabarit épais, puissant, court.
Description
The mesomorph-endomorph sits on the edge between musculoskeletal robustness and fatness, with low ectomorphy. The body is thick, powerful, and short-framed — the classic heavyweight build for any sport where mass matters more than reach.
Heavyweight Olympic weightlifters, strongmen, and many shot putters fall here, as do certain traditional populations selected by both genetics and lifestyle for power output. The skeletal frame is broad and the body composition is both high in muscle and high in fat.
Unlike the balanced mesomorph, this type does not have low endomorphy — fat is part of the build, often by sport-specific design (mass aids force production in throwing and weightlifting events). Unlike the balanced endomorph, mesomorphy is high enough to give the body a genuine power profile.
Hybrid types like this one shift gradually in either direction with training and weight class targets. An athlete here might move toward endomorphic mesomorph (BM-style training, lower bodyfat) or mesomorphic endomorph (mass-focused training, higher bodyfat) depending on event.
